How to make an Alvas email template inside Blueshift
Step 1 - Go to your email template
Inside Blueshift, either select an existing email template or create a new.
Step 2 - Find the Alvas Email ID
Inside Alvas, you should open the email, where you're editing the prompts.
So for example you might have an Abandoned Browse email in English in Alvas, that's what you should open in one tab.
Then, look in the URL for an ID. It comes after /flows.
Here is an example where the ID is 2820.
Step 3 - Add Subject Line
Inside the Blueshift email template, you should go to the subject line field.
Here you want to type "{{" to see the dynamic fields that are available.
On Mac, it's shift + options + 8 to create a "{".
Once you type the "{{", you will see a dropdown of selections you can choose.
You should select "user".
Once you do that, you see another dropdown.
Select ".extended_attributes".
Then you will see a dropdown where you should find this key:
alvas_email_id_YourEmailId
This is why you needed the Alvas Email ID from step 2.
In my case, it's alvas_email_id_2820.
So I select that.
Now, I can select the text I want, and in this case, it's the subject_line.
Once you've done that you can see a preview of the AI generated subject_line directly in the email on the right side of your screen.
Step 4 - Repeat for all texts
Now you should repeat the process of adding texts for all the texts that the AI generates.
So for the preview line:
And for the headline:
As you can see in the final result, all the texts are now displayed correctly.
Lastly, remember to save your changes.
