How to handle multiple Klaviyo accounts in Alvas
When to add a market in Alvas
Alvas translation features make it a great tool for handling content production across different languages.
Some e-commerce businesses have 1 Klaviyo account for each market, and others have a single account to serve all markets.
You should only use this guide, if you have multiple Klaviyo accounts, where each account serves a different market, for the same brand.
Adding multiple markets will allow you to significantly decrease the time it takes you to produce content across different languages.
Step 1 - Go to Integrations
Inside Alvas, go to Settings -> Integrations (or click here).
Step 2 - Open the integration
On your integration, click "Status" to open up the integration page.
Here you can see all the Klaviyo accounts (Markets) you've added to your Alvas account.
In here, click "Add Market" to add another Klaviyo market.
Step 3 - Add a new Klaviyo integration
Now, you should set 3 things.
- Private Klaviyo API Key
- CMS System
- Market
First, start by finding your Private Klaviyo API Key by going into Klaviyo, and clicking on your profile in the bottom left corner.
Inside Settings, click on "API keys".
Inside API Keys, click on "Create Private API key"
Call the API key "Alvas" and give it access to all API scopes.
Finally, click "Create".
Then you will see your new API key.
You should click on copy.
Finally, go back into Alvas and paste in the API key.
Then, select the CMS system that you have connected with Klaviyo.
Select what Market the Klaviyo account is connected to.
And click "Add Market".
Now you will be able to select the market you've chosen when you're creating a new email, audience, or campaign.
