Step 1 - Open different tabs

First of, you should have already added Alvas to a flow in Klaviyo, with a webhook and mergetags - if you haven't, you can use this guide.

You should have these three tabs open:

1. Alvas inside logs. Click here.

2. Klaviyo inside the flow where you've added Alvas.

3. Klaviyo inside the email template where you've added Alvas.

Step 2 - Open Webhook and Email Preview

Inside tab 2 (Klaviyo Flow), click on the webhook.

Then click on preview.

Then you will see this pop up, where you can send a Test Request.

For now, just keep this tab open, and don't close the pop up.

Now, you should go to the third tab (Klaviyo Template), and open the email preview.

You will now preview the email as a customer, who should receive the email.

Because you've added Alvas mergetags, you will likely see the fallback texts that are added by default.

The next step is to trigger an email to be generated inside Alvas.

Step 3 - Trigger Alvas

In the second tab, where you have the webhook pop up open, you should click "Send Test Request".

If the webhook fails, we have this guide to help you fix the error.

If the webhook is succesful, then you can go into the first tab (Alvas Logs), and see the email being generated.

When it's done, you can see that the status changes to "Success".

Step 4 - Preview email

When the email is done generating, go into the third tab (Klaviyo Template) and preview the email for the profile that you've just generated an email for.

You might need to rerender the template, and it's important that you don't refresh the page, instead click the arrow to preview the email for another profile.

And then click back again, to now see the texts that were generated.

And Voila, now you can see the texts Alvas has generated for that specific profile.
